
Here's a recipe for a crispy and tasty beef schnitzel. Use your oil of choice to shallow fry and we recommend panko crumbs for extra crunch.
Ingredients
- 4-6 beef schnitzels
- 1 cup plain flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- ½ tsp mixed herbs
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups panko crumbs
- Salt and pepper
- Oil to shallow fry
Method
- Use paper towel to remove any excess moisture from the beef schnitzels.
- Coat each piece with flour.
- Combine herbs, garlic powder, panko crumbs and salt/pepper and place on a flat surface.
- Dip each schnitzel in the egg, allowing excess egg to run off, then immediately transfer to the crumb mixture and coat both sides well.
- Shallow fry until cooked.
- Serving suggestion: Serve with a squeeze of lemon, potato mash and salad for a traditional feel.
